Meet Our Staff

RON

CEO

Ron was raised in the construction business. Born in in Jackson, MI, his Father, and Uncle brought Ron to job sites as a young boy. At age 14, Ron began his apprenticeship with Brothers Construction.

In 1981, Ron enrolled himself into ITT Technical Institute for Electrical Engineering. After College, Ron moved to Florida, and began working for Better Homes Inc.

In 1986, Better Homes Inc became Southern Exteriors. Ron established himself as district manager of the Southern Exteriors team in Dade County, Florida .

In 1993, Southern Exteriors branched out to S.W Florida with Ron at the helm. A few years later, Ron took ownership of Southern Exteriors and renamed his newly revamped home exterior company Southland Exteriors.

Ronald may be CEO but believes strongly in keeping his hand in the business so to speak. He sits in as the company expediter 3 times a week to oversee all customer projects, and make sure you, the customer is getting the best experience and service Southland Exteriors, and its staff has to offer.

On a personal note, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife, Debra, and 4 children (Jessica, Andrew, Jacob & Sara).

Ron also enjoys fishing, classic cars, boating, and maintaining his lawn in his spare time.

DEBRA

Accounting

Debra is the office Accountant for Southland and has been with the company since 2002. She also is the CFO, assisting in decisions in all aspects of the companies present & future financial status. Questions about your warranty, and any needed repairs on our projects are first directed through her. She handles all accounts receivable & payable as well. Website, advertising, & keeping the general flow going of many detailed tasks, keeps her quite busy. Organization is the key to a well performing business, and that is her goal.

In her personal life she loves spending time with her husband and 3 children. Any activity that involves the great outdoors is where she would like to be. Eating healthy, bike riding, & walking her dogs are some of the things she truly loves to do. She also loves to create with essential oils and uses them to keep her family healthy. “Keeping a balance between work and home is key to a successful life!”

PHIL

Project Manager

I wanted to write my own short bio. Hello! My name is Phil and I have worked for Southland Exteriors for just under 14 years. I have over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry with extensive hands on experience in every aspect of interior and exterior home construction and remodeling. I also have over 12 years’ experience as a Real Estate Agent and as a Mortgage Broker.

I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida with majors in Psychology, Economics, and Sociology. My experience and education ensure that I can accurately assess all my client’s wants, needs and concerns regarding their homes and their finances.

My goal, as well as the goal of Southland Exteriors, is to offer SW Florida top of the line products for the exterior of their homes at prices that are affordable.

In my Spare time: When I am not assisting the SW Florida community with their home improvement needs, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. To unwind, I like to go fishing, listen to music, relax with a good book or watch a movie. I also love to cook! (As you have probably read, cooking is something that most of the staff here at Southland loves to do. Who knows? Perhaps we should open Southland Restaurant: “Free Estimates and a Free Dinner for All New Clients”? Sounds like a plan to me!)

DOLORES

Marketing Manager

Dolores is our marketing manager. Always with a smile on her face, she is the first person you talk with to set up an appointment for one of our free estimates. She can also assist you with any general questions you may have about our products and services. If any further assistance is needed, she can direct you to the professional that is needed.

In her personal life Dolores enjoys fishing, crafting, cooking, baking, & spending time with family. She truly is an animal lover, and has birds, a dog, 3 cats and some fish. He motto is “living life to the fullest!”
